EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. – A 16-year-old accused of killing five people in East St. Louis will remain locked up following a pre-trial hearing in St. Clair County. Prosecutors shared text messages between the 16-year-old and his girlfriend, which they say shows a cold-blooded murder plot to kill members of the girlfriend’s family.
Ja’ymier Davis and his 15-year-old girlfriend are accused of targeting seven people and killing five of them in a spree killing. The teens were arrested Sunday afternoon in Frank Holten State Park.
