Child, 12, wounded in South City shooting

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A 12-year-old child was wounded in a shooting that happened in south St. Louis on Wednesday night.

Police say the shooting happened just after 8:00 p.m. in the 6600 block of Pennsylvania Ave, which is in the Carondelet neighborhood. The victim was shot in the lower leg.

District 1 detectives are investigating a shooting in the 6600 block of Pennsylvania. A 12-year-old was shot in the lower leg. We’re working to determine if it’s accidental. Multiple people have been detained. Two firearms have been recovered. @SLMPD
