Greenfield Village Twilight Bike Ride Returns for Summer 2026

One of Metro Detroit’s most unique summer traditions is rolling back into Greenfield Village! Grab your bikes and experience The Henry Ford’s Twilight Bike Ride, a special after-hours event where families can pedal through one of America’s most iconic historic villages after the gates close.

Returning August 12 & 13, 2026, this unforgettable evening lets guests cruise past historic homes, working farms, and famous American landmarks while enjoying special entertainment, nostalgic music, and unique family activities that are only available during this event.

A One-of-a-Kind Family Bike Ride

Whether your family rides trikes, balance bikes, cruisers, or road bikes, everyone is invited to explore Greenfield Village from a whole new perspective. As you pedal the designated route, you’ll travel through more than 250 years of American history, passing some of the Village’s most famous attractions—including Henry Ford’s Quadricycle, the Wright Brothers’ Cycle Shop, historic homes, and picturesque streets lined with vintage architecture.

The event isn’t just for experienced cyclists. Younger children can enjoy a training-wheels-only riding area near the historic Herschell-Spillman Carousel and the Donald F. Kosch Village Playground, both of which are included with event admission. It’s the perfect place for beginning riders to practice while older siblings continue exploring the Village.
