Jacksonville Couple Arrested After More Than $240,000 in Stolen Gold Coins Sold

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville husband and wife have been arrested after investigators say they sold dozens of stolen gold coins worth more than $240,000 that had been taken from a shipping company.

According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, 50-year-old Victor Lagrane Owens and 53-year-old Jennifer Meria Owens were arrested in connection with the theft and sale of 34 gold coins.

Investigators allege Victor Owens stole the coins while working at a shipping company. Authorities say he and Jennifer Owens then sold the stolen coins to multiple buyers…
