CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — After four days of hearing prosecutors present evidence, jurors on Thursday heard directly from Rashiean Washington, the man accused of killing two men and setting a North Charleston apartment on fire in December 2021.
Washington, who is charged with two counts of murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, took the stand in his own defense and told jurors he acted in self-defense because he believed he was about to be killed.
His testimony came after prosecutors rested their case.
