Deputies seek tips 24 years after clerk fatally stabbed at North Charleston convenience store

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Charleston County deputies were called to a North Charleston convenience store 24 years ago today after a clerk was found dead inside, authorities said.

Deputies responded to the Hess Mart at 2685 Ashley Phosphate Road and found 48-year-old Franklin Glenn Caddell, who worked as a store clerk, deceased inside the business, according to investigators. Detectives believe Caddell was fatally stabbed during a robbery.

Investigators said they have followed numerous leads over the years but have not made any arrests…
