Woman accused of throwing knife, hitting man in neck

WELSH, La. (KPLC) – A man was life-flighted to a Lafayette hospital last night after being impaled by a knife, according to Welsh police.

Two people were in an argument while one of them was breaking down a box, according to Chief Marcus Crochet. Investigators believe the man asked the woman to give him a knife, she threw it at him, and it punctured his neck.

The man was air lifted with serious injuries, while the woman involved fled the scene, according to Crochet.

Resa Jackson, 54, was found by police and arrested on one count of aggravated second-degree battery…
