St. Louis condemns Soulard property over illegal dirt pile

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The city of St. Louis has condemned a vacant lot in the Soulard neighborhood where a 20-foot mound of soil has been dumped without permits, officials said Thursday.

The pile, located at South 7th Street and Shenandoah Avenue, has drawn the attention of residents and city officials who call it an illegal dump and a safety risk. Some residents have sarcastically referred to it as “Mount Soulard.”
