A teen has been arrested concerning the murder of a local homeless man who is being remembered.
According to Josh Estrella, Director of Communications at the Providence Mayor’s Communications Office, on Tuesday at approximately 10:50 p.m., Providence Police Patrol officers were dispatched to the pedestrian Bridge for a stabbing.
When officers arrived, they located 40-year-old Gerald Blair, with no known address, with apparent stab wounds to the chest area. Providence Fire responded and transported the victim to Rhode Island Hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was later pronounced deceased…
