South City barbecue restaurant loses hundreds of dollars in meat from burglar

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Early Thursday morning, someone broke into the meat smoker at Smoke N Bones BBQ, which damaged it and ruined the meat inside.

Owner Aaron Machado said the thief didn’t take a lot of food, but the damage to the smoker ruined what was inside. Machado said he had to throw $700 worth of meat out.

“Him just messing with the switches and opening the doors causing it to jam. These smokers are like a carousel smoker, so if you jam it everything tightens up, and it can all fall down and break,” Machado said…
