SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – Building permit numbers in Sioux Falls rebounded a little in June after a slower end to the Spring.
In the first six months of 2026, just over 28 hundred permits were issued with a total value of over $480 million. Four of the top five valued projects for which permits have been issued so far this year are apartment complexes. The project with the greatest value is phase two of the Foss Fields Apartments on the eastern edge of the city. And while construction is just starting on that, phase one of the project is now complete.
