WILTON, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York State Police reported that two people were arrested following a Northway vehicle pursuit on Thursday in Warren and Saratoga Counties. Torrey Jackson, 39, and Tori Rushlow, 29, both of Massena, are facing numerous felony charges.

On July 16, State Police tried to pull over a car heading south on I-87 in Queensbury just before 3:30 p.m. for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The driver, Jackson, reportedly refused to stop, leading to a chase with law enforcement that carried into Saratoga County.
After getting off the Northway at Exit 17, Jackson is accused of recklessly driving through multiple residential yards, roadways, and fields. NYSP stated that he then got back on the Northway at the Exit 16 off-ramp, driving southbound in the northbound lanes.

According to State Police, Jackson hit a northbound trooper patrol car and tried to strike other NYSP vehicles before turning around and heading the correct direction of traffic upon reaching a police roadblock at Exit 15. As the chase continued, Jackson’s passenger, Rushlow, allegedly threw several large bags of cannabis from the car into the roadway.
The pursuit came to an end when Jackson stopped his car in the road’s median, and he and Rushlow tried to flee the scene on foot. Both were taken into custody by troopers around 4:15 p.m.

During the operation, law enforcement reportedly seized over 500 pounds of cannabis in total from within Jackson’s car and the bags recovered from the road. The two now face the following charges:

- Attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer
- First-degree criminal possession of cannabis
- Two counts of second-degree assault
- Second-degree criminal mischief
- Tampering with physical evidence
- Resisting arrest
- Reckless endangerment
- Unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle
Rushlow
- Attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer
- First-degree criminal possession of cannabis
- Second-degree assault
- Second-degree criminal mischief
- Tampering with physical evidence
- Resisting arrest
- Reckless endangerment
- Unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle
Two troopers were treated for non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the chase, and two patrol cars were damaged in the incident. Jackson and Rushlow were held at the Saratoga County Jail without bail ahead of further proceedings after being arraigned in Wilton Town Court…
