COLUMBUS, Ohio — Gov. Mike DeWine announced Wednesday that Ohio will distribute $11.9 million in grants to 73 counties to demolish unsafe, blighted buildings and prepare sites for redevelopment.
Locally, Cuyahoga County will use its funding to demolish 16 properties, Summit County will demolish 14 properties, Lake County will demolish one property, Medina County will demolish two properties and Geauga County will demolish one property.
The funding comes from the latest round of the Building Demolition and Site Revitalization Program, which has approximately $230,000 in grants reserved for each of Ohio’s 88 counties…
