YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The talk of a sale for Schwebel Baking Company has come to a close, according to court documents.
A telephone conference was held Wednesday in U.S. Court for the Northern District of Ohio in a lawsuit filed by the Teamsters union representing workers at Schwebel’s.

A document from the conference said that “Schwebel’s discussions with a potential buyer have come to a close, and the company is proceeding with a wind-down of its operations.” It also mentioned the lawsuit filed this week by a creditor against Schwebel seeking $3.7 million.
