America 250 Block Party Brings Pine Mountain Community Together

The Pine Mountain Tourism Association and the Pine Mountain America 250 Committee welcomed residents and visitors to downtown Pine Mountain on July 3 for the Pine Mountain America 250 Block Party, a celebration of community, patriotism and America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.

Taking place on Broad Street, the free community event featured music by DJ Tony Lattimore, family games, a giant water slide, face painting, a patriotic selfie station, a bubble station for children and a variety of food vendors offering entrees, kettle corn, lemonade, ice slushies, and other treats. Throughout the evening, downtown merchants welcomed visitors who shopped, dined and celebrated together.

“It was wonderful to see our community come together to celebrate America and all that makes Pine Mountain such a special place,” said Mayor Mary Ruth Mullins. “It was a great event enjoyed by everyone who attended. Seeing families, friends and visitors spending the evening together downtown made it a truly memorable celebration, and we appreciate everyone who volunteered, participated and helped make the event such a success.”…
