A Michigan man tied to a record cocaine seizure in Grand Rapids received a one-year jail sentence after procedural problems during his trial led prosecutors to offer a plea deal that spared him from a possible prison term measured in decades.
WOOD TV8 reporter Amber Krycka said 39-year-old Timothy Gant had faced the possibility of life in prison after police seized 81 pounds of cocaine, nearly $200,000 in cash, and several firearms during a 2023 investigation into a large drug operation.
