Father sentenced to 49 years for killing teenage son in St. Louis County shooting

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — A Jennings father has received his sentence after being found guilty of killing his teenage son in a shooting that happened in St. Louis County.

The incident happened on Jan. 25, 2024, in the 9100 block of Halls Ferry Road, where Isaiah Walker was shot in the head by his father, Carl Walker Jr., and left on the street following a verbal altercation. Isaiah died of his injuries three days later.

Walker was charged and eventually found guilty of first-degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, endangering the welfare of a child, and tampering with evidence following a week-long trial…
