EDWARDSVILLE – A Granite City man was charged with attempted murder after police alleged he deliberately ran over a senior citizen with his Chevy Silverado pickup truck.
Tony Samuel Accardi, 64, of Granite City, was charged Wednesday, July 15, in Madison County Circuit Court with attempted first-degree murder, a Class X felony; aggravated battery, a Class 2 felony; aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony; and fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer, a Class A misdemeanor.
