Free Eugene fest marks 41 years of celebrating Asian culture July 18

EUGENE, Ore. – The 41st annual Oregon Asian Celebration returns to Alton Baker Park on Saturday, July 18, with free admission.

The festival will feature traditional and contemporary Asian dance and music, taiko drumming, martial arts demonstrations, youth activities and a karaoke contest. Attendees can participate in mini-sessions to learn taiko drumming, tai chi and the Chinese lion dance. More than a dozen food vendors and food trucks will serve Asian street foods, and over 75 vendors will offer handcrafted items, products, services and community resources.

According to Eugenia Su, co-director of the Oregon Asian Celebration, the 2026 Year of the Horse is associated with the fire element, symbolizing strength, energy, innovation and resilience.
