AfterShocks have eyes on $2 million prize

WICHITA, KAN. (KSNW) — The AfterShocks won The Basketball Tournament last summer and took home the $1 million cash prize.

This year, there’s an added incentive beyond just the opportunity to go back-to-back as the team prepares for the tournament. The purse for the winner has doubled to $2 million.

But the group, which has seven returners, is keeping its focus on the court.

“We try not to talk about it too much, obviously,” AfterShocks guard Conner Frankamp said. “I would say it’s probably in the back of all of our minds. Hopefully, we can be the champions again, but we’re just going to have to take it one game at a time and kind of see what happens.”…
