Matty Healy, lead singer of The 1975, has found his perfect match. The 37-year-old musician and model Gabbriette Bechtel, 28, tied the knot in a private ceremony in Los Angeles on July 18, 2026, surrounded by close family and friends, according to their representatives.

Gabbriette, known simply by her first name and a former member of the Charli XCX-founded punk band Nasty Cherry, announced her engagement to Healy two years ago with a memorable Instagram post showcasing her black diamond ring.

The wedding followed closely after Healy’s bachelor party, which made waves on social media. Videos showed the singer taking the stage at a Malibu venue where The 9075, a tribute band, performed The 1975’s hit “The Sound.” The band shared footage of Healy joining them for a duet of “It’s Not Living (If It’s Not With You),” calling the night unforgettable.

Healy and Bechtel’s relationship first sparked attention in 2023, around the time Healy was rumored to be involved with Taylor Swift. Swift appeared to reference Healy in her 2024 album “Tortured Poets Department” and playfully mimicked his stage antics during her Eras Tour.

Expressing her joy over the union, Healy’s mother, actress and “Loose Women” panelist Denise Welch, shared on Instagram in June 2024, “I’m so happy to be blessed with a wonderful daughter-in-law to be.”

With this marriage, Matty Healy and Gabbriette Bechtel officially become partners both on and off the stage.
