LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) -A new school bus safety law took effect July 15, a member of the Lyndon Police Department in Louisville shared in a release.
Under the new law, motorists must come to a complete stop when approaching a school or church bus that has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, regardless of the type of roadway.
Previously, the requirement was only for two-lane roadways. The new law applies to all roadways, with the only exception being roadways with four or more lanes that have an existing raised barrier or unpaved median. This does not include center turning lanes…
