STANSBURY PARK — The North Tooele Fire District said Chief Kevin Nunn has accepted a position as fire chief for the Estes Valley Fire Protection District in Estes Park, Colorado.
Nunn has served as fire chief for the district since April 2022, but has been firefighting for over 30 years. He joined Tooele’s fire district after moving to Utah from Tennessee, according to a 2022 North Tooele Fire District Facebook post.
“I grew up in Indiana, but always felt my calling was elsewhere,” Nunn said in the post, when he was first sworn in as fire chief. “I lived 15 years at the base of the Rockies along the Front Range of Colorado and then moved to the base of the Smokies along the Appalachian Trail.”…
