MECHANICVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Mechanicville police have killed a fox that reportedly attacked one woman and threatened four other people on Sunday and Monday. According to authorities, the animal may have been sick.

The Mechanicville Police Department said that they were called to a home on Elizabeth Street Sunday afternoon following a report of a fox bite. The victim reportedly told authorities that she was doing yard work when a large fox ran toward her and bit her on the lower leg.
The woman was taken to Saratoga Hospital by a friend for an obvious bleeding injury, according to police. Meanwhile, as officers searched the area of the incident, another resident reported seeing a large fox run through her yard and try to bite her 90-year-old father before disappearing into nearby brush…
