Small plane makes emergency landing in southern Indiana field

NEW WASHINGTON, Ind. — The New Washington Fire Department says a plane had to make an emergency landing in a southern Indiana field due to some kind of mechanical failure.

The incident happened Monday, July 13 in Clark County when the occupants of the plane were forced to land the aircraft in what appeared to be a cornfield near Tunnel Mill and Lena Bower roads, according to the fire department.
