SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Housing Authority is taking the next step in the East Adams Redevelopment Initiative currently underway in the City.
The East Adams Redevelopment Initiative is part of the overall collaboration from City officials and other community partners for the East Adams Neighborhood Transformation project, aimed at revitalizing a section of Syracuse’s historic 15th Ward. The project seeks to reconnect neighborhoods previously divided by the elevated I-81 viaduct, which is undergoing massive renovations to establish a community grid.
On Monday, SHA officials will present a major site plan review to the Syracuse Planning Commission for Phase III through XII of the East Adams Redevelopment Initiative. Phase III site proposals includes two new mixed-use buildings and three townhomes aimed at creating 147 new housing units at 927 State Street.
