FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – Firefighters and neighbors took action to fight a vegetation fire that broke out on Monday in Fresno, according to North Central Fire.
A call came in around 2 p.m. on July 20 to report a vegetation fire at Hedges and Katy Avenues, according to officials. Fire crews say they arrived and found a three-acre fire getting close to some houses.
The situation quickly progressed to a two-alarm fire, which means firefighters on scene realized they needed additional resources. Officials say Selma, Fresno County, and Fresno City Fire showed up in support.
