After more than two decades of tuning up bikes and fitting boots for city dwellers, REI is calling it quits at the Landmark Center. The co-op’s Fenway store on Park Drive will close for good on Aug. 13, 2026, wrapping a 23-year run in Boston and leaving many urban outdoor fans facing a longer haul for big-ticket gear and in-person service.
The Park Drive shop has already stopped taking some service work and is now largely focused on winding down existing orders and pickups ahead of the final day.
According to Boston.com, the Landmark Center location will shut its doors permanently on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 8 p.m., as part of a broader round of closures that also hits stores in New York City and New Jersey…
