COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) – A tropical depression in the Gulf south of the Florida Panhandle may become a tropical storm in the next day or two. Being on the northern side, we’re just expecting a few passing showers and storms the next few days, pretty reminiscent of a summer day anyway. Moisture levels look to be higher later in the week as the system moves farther west near the Gulf Coast.
Mostly sunny to partly cloudy Monday. Hot and humid with highs between 92 and 95 with feels like temperatures maxing out around 100 to 102. A chance of showers and storms is in the forecast mainly after 3 PM ET generally moving from the south-southeast to the north-northwest. Rain coverage no more than 30 to 40%.
