RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A Virginia nonprofit says Dominion Energy’s proposed merger with a Florida-based utility provider cannot move forward due to a lack of key information, such as consumer impacts.
Florida-based NextEra Energy is attempting to merge with Dominion Energy, according to filings the utility companies submitted in mid-July. If the $67 billion deal goes through, it’d be the largest utility merger in U.S. history.
