SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – Massive Monster Jam® trucks and champion drivers are set to take over Enmarket Arena in Savannah July 31 through Aug. 2, bringing head-to-head racing, two-wheel stunts and fan-voted freestyle action.
Kayla Blood, who drives the glittery unicorn-themed Sparkle Smash, told Morning Break the shows are designed for all ages — and she’s especially excited to see young fans turn out.
“Monster Jam really is for everyone,” Blood said. “Now that we have my six-ton unicorn, you can imagine the turnout of the little girls that are going to want to be there to see Sparkle Smash in action.”
What to expect at Monster Jam
Each event typically runs about two hours and features three competitions as drivers battle for an overall Event Championship:
- Racing: Bracket-style, head-to-head matchups where the fastest truck advances.
- 2 Wheel Skills: Drivers balance 12,000-pound trucks on two wheels, often reversing and “walking it back” in crowd-pleasing moves.
- Freestyle: The signature finale where drivers unleash the biggest tricks — and fans help decide the winner by scoring performances in real time.
Budd teased that fans might even see a backflip inside the arena.
