TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –Drivers along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Tallahassee should prepare for daytime lane closures and a full intersection shutdown as the city begins a traffic-signal upgrade project aimed at improving safety for motorists and pedestrians.
The City of Tallahassee will begin construction July 20 to upgrade existing traffic signals at the intersections of W. Tharpe Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, and Northwood Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The project is intended to modernize transportation infrastructure and create a safer, more reliable traffic network for drivers, pedestrians and others who use the corridor.
