BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. – A 45-year-old man booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center died after a medical emergency in custody and treatment at UNM Hospital.
The Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center said James Gonzales, 45, was in custody when staff called a medical emergency code at about 11:12 p.m. on Friday, July 17.
