Shut-down order lifted for Fury 325 roller coaster at Carowinds

CHARLOTTE, NC (WWAY) — The shut-down order for Carowinds’ Fury 325 roller coaster has been lifted after state inspectors completed a review of repairs and a re-inspection of the ride, according to North Carolina Labor Commissioner Luke Farley.

Farley announced the decision, saying the North Carolina Department of Labor worked with Carowinds, engineering teams and consulting engineers to review the completed repairs and supporting engineering analysis.

NCDOL inspectors were also on-site to verify the repair work and conduct a full inspection of the ride before issuing a new certificate of operation…
