A discussion over whether Cuyahoga County should return to an elected sheriff and other potential charter amendments turned contentious Tuesday, with several exchanges between Cuyahoga County Executive Chris Ronayne and County Councilmember Martin Sweeney.
Ronayne gave a lengthy statement during public comment in the Committee of the Whole meeting, making it clear he believes the county should focus on a Health and Human Services levy in November, which was met with resistance from council two weeks ago.
