Reward offered for information in murder of retired Cleveland Firefighter Wilbert McCormick

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest in the murder of a Navy veteran and retired Cleveland firefighter.

“I need to know what the person possesses every day, every night, to go home to their family when they have committed such a crime and live with themselves. I ask them to come forward,” asked Venita McCormick, Wilbert’s wife.

Wilbert McCormick was shot and killed at the intersection of Thornhill Drive and Arlington Avenue in Glenville around 8:30 p.m. on July 21, 2020.
