One day, Daniel Johnson, who lived in Sedalia, North Carolina, met an old acquaintance in Reidsville, North Carolina. Daniel and the acquaintance talked for a long time. Realizing the time, Daniel told the acquaintance, “I must get back to Sedalia. Johnsie (his wife) will wonder what happened to me.” Daniel began to walk away and the old acquaintance stated, “Daniel, how is your sister?” Uncle Daniel replied, “Minnie Bell is fine.” The old acquaintance replied, “I’m not speaking of Minnie Bell.” You have another sister and her name is Lemma. My last recollection of her was when she was about fifteen years old and had to throw her hair out of the chair to sit down. She is in Caswell County.
