GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A former Michigan Department of Corrections officer is accused of facilitating an attack on another corrections officer earlier this year.
Shelby Pennock, 44, was formally charged last week with assault of a prison employee, court records show. Bond was set at $500.
The charge stems from a March 28 incident at the Baraga Correctional Facility in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. That day, Pennock and another corrections officer were working together in a cell block.
