BEDFORC COUNTY, Va. (WFXR)- Officials announced the appointment of Jason Ferguson as the new chief of the Bedford County Department of Fire and Rescue.
Ferguson currently serves as the chief of the Department of Fire and Rescue in Botetourt County. He will begin his new role on August 17.
Ferguson began his career in 2000 as an emergency department technician-paramedic at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He became a paramedic with the Botetourt County Dept. of Fire and Rescue the following year.
