CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – The Chatham County Police Department (CCPD) announced Tuesday morning that it is the first law enforcement agency in Chatham County to utilize the new Flock Transparency Portal.
This tool is designed to give important insights into how the license plate readers are used for public safety and criminal investigations.
The portal allows visitors to access information that includes:
- The number of license plate readers in a jurisdiction
- Which agencies share their data with CCPD
- How many individual license plates have been read in the last 30 days
- Policies
- Information about what is and is not detected through the license plate readers
Data can be accessed for the prior thirty days of searches and include the type of investigation or crime involved in each search. It also shows the number of Flock networks used in each search…
