ST. LOUIS – An Imperial man is facing felony charges after being accused of stealing adaptive cruise control sensors from several cars last week.
According to a probable cause statement, 57-year-old Leonard J Hafertepe was arrested on July 10 while in a vehicle that matched the description of a car that was used in the thefts of several adaptive cruise control sensors in St. Louis.
Ten days later, Hafertepe was arrested again after police identified him as the suspect following an investigation through video surveillance and police body camera. At the time of his arrest, Hafertepe had seven Honda adaptive cruise control sensors and emblems in his possession…
