‘It’s not good growth:’ A year later, Wichitans still question why City moved to paid parking downtown

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – It’s been just over a year since paid parking parking started in downtown Wichita.

Now we have numbers from the city on how often the system is being utilized and how much money it’s generating.

Opinions from the public are mixed. Comments from those we talked to included, “Wichita overreacted a bit,” and “I would like to see (paid parking) go away.”…
