Missing Springfield man on scooter found safe after Lane County search, sheriff says

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A missing elderly man who left home on a scooter without necessary medication was found about an hour after Lane County Sheriff’s Office deputies and search and rescue personnel began looking for him in Springfield, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Lane County Sheriff’s Office said it received information about the missing man July 20 at about 7:15 p.m. Family members reported he had left on a scooter and did not have his necessary medication.
