Tanas wins Molokai 2 Oahu Foil World Championships for third straight year

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – For the third year in a row, Edo Tanas was the first to cross the finish line at Kaimana Beach in the third annual Molokaʻi 2 Oʻahu Foil World Championships Monday.

He completed the 40-plus-mile Kaiwi Channel crossing in 2 hours and 13 minutes, about 17 minutes off his own world record.

“It was a real emotional one. I never cried at a finish line, and this is the first time that ever happened for me,” Tanas said. “It really means the world to me to be able to do it again, and just to prove that everyone that supported me and put in the work with me, it was all worth it.”…
