KBAY Bay Country Moves to 98.5 FM Officially

Connoisseur Media has made it official. The company confirmed today that KBAY Bay Country is moving to 98.5 FM, the former home of KUFX, effective immediately.

What We Know: KBAY’s Bay Country format now simulcasts on 98.5 FM, significantly expanding its reach across the South Bay. The station will continue on its longtime frequency until the previously announced sale to K-LOVE closes. Meanwhile, KUFX transitions to K FOX Classic Rock, available on HD2 and through Super Hi-Fi online. All current on-air personalities remain in place.

What They Said: Keith Dakin, SVP of Programming for Connoisseur Media, didn’t mince words about the opportunity. “The San Francisco Bay Area has long been underserved by a major country station, and we’re ready to fill that void,” he said. “With Danny Miller, Tony Michaels, and Emily Harlan leading the lineup, KBAY is in a great spot to become the Bay Area’s premier destination for country music.” Regional Operations Manager Brian “Fig” Figula added that the move also strengthens the station’s position with advertising partners…
