SANTA MONICA – A 24-year-old man fatally shot during a fight between two groups near the Santa Monica Pier early Monday has been identified as Edgar Buitmea, authorities said Tuesday.
Santa Monica police officers responded at about 12:30 a.m. to a reported shooting in Parking Lot 1 North on the south side of the pier.
