CHICAGO — Police are searching for answers on Wednesday morning after a teen boy was killed in a shooting on the city’s West Side overnight.
According to police, officers were called to the 4600 block of West Jackson Boulevard in Austin around 1 a.m. after the victim was located by members of the Chicago Fire Department.
Officers said the teen, who suffered a gunshot wound to his head, was later transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and no arrests have been made.
