Multiple people rescued during severe weather in Robertson County, TN

GREENBRIER, Tenn. (WSMV) – Tuesday night’s severe storms flooded several areas of Robertson County, trapping drivers in vehicles and residents in their homes overnight.

The Robertson County Emergency Management Agency reported that police, fire and medical personnel responded to numerous calls for help on Tuesday night.

Water rescue teams successfully rescued eight people from dangerous flooding situations, including one driver on Old Greenbrier Pike and Worsham Springs Road, and another on New Chapel Road. Robertson County EMA reported up to 8 rescues were executed throughout the night.

Over on Hackney Road, floodwaters rose to nearly the top of a fence line, and several residents needed help evacuating as the water level was approaching their doorsteps, according to Robertson County EMA…
