GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Keeping the kids busy during the summer can sometimes be a struggle but what if we told you about a pair of events offering free family fun, food trucks, ice cream and more? Christina and Micah are with Kent County and join us in studio to talk about the upcoming Kent County Community Fests!
Activities will include: local food trucks, free backpacks and school supplies (while supplies last), free ice cream (while supplies last), free face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon animals, and more. Big trucks will also be on display, including fire engines and road equipment from the Kent County Road Commission as well as live demonstrations from the Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and Mounted Unit. More than 20 county programs will be on hand to share helpful information, resources, and support including: the Animal Shelter, Health Department, Sheriff’s Office, Veterans Services, Parks Department, Public Works, and more…
