AMARILLO, Texas (KVII) — The Region 16 Education Service Center announced the 31 educators nominated for its regional Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year awards.
The nominees represent school districts across the Texas Panhandle. Region 16 said the educators were recognized for their dedication, leadership and commitment to student success.
The elementary nominees are:
- Beth Bowles, Adrian ISD
- Tampa Cox, Borger ISD
- Dreamer Carlisle, Bushland ISD
- Ana Hernandez, Canadian ISD
- Christa Wall, Canyon ISD
- Julie Gates, Clarendon ISD
- Kelly Garcia, Dumas ISD
- Almadelina DeLeon, Hereford ISD
- Mercedes Altman, Memphis ISD
- Kathryn Brooks, Pampa ISD
- Blair Barnhill, River Road ISD
- Aubrey Mayfield, Silverton ISD
- Alejandra Alvarez, Spearman ISD
The secondary nominees are:
- Bobbi Norwood, Adrian ISD
- Erica Wheeler, Borger ISD
- Jon Peterson, Boys Ranch ISD
- Katy Fletcher, Bushland ISD
- Cameron Krc, Canadian ISD
- Eric Rath, Canyon ISD
